Abstract:
An external mechanism 10 for an endoscope is provided with: a wheel 41 for engaging with a second curved vertical operation knob 3g of a second curved operation device mounted on an operation device 3 of an endoscope 1; a motor 32 for generating a driving force to rotate the wheel 41; an operation switch 60 for outputting a drive control signal of the motor 32; a housing case 11 for housing the wheel 41 and the motor 32; a case detachably fixing part 12 for detachably mounting the housing case 11 on the operation part 3; and a switch case 61 mounted on the housing case 11, and allowing for rotation between a first position in which a portion of the operation part 3 is covered and a second position spaced apart from the first position. The operation switch is provided with an operation element placed in a housing part on a rotation element, and by moving the operation element on the rotation element surface side, the operation switch outputs the drive control signal of the drive source.
