Abstract:
An extract of Dendrobium sinense, Dendrobium densiflorum, or Dendrobium bensoniae, and eight main active components contained thereby: derianthridin A, derianthridin B, derianthridin C, dendrosinen D, aloifol I, 3,4,3'-trimethoxy-5,4'-dihydroxybibenzyl, 5,3'-dihydroxy-3,4-dimethoxybibenzyl, or densiflorol A. The present Dendrobium extract and the main active components thereof can effectively reduce inflammation, have no toxic side effects on the body and do not cause drug dependence; in an anti-inflammatory activity experiment, a medicinal effect surpassed that of a current commonly used Western medicine, the present invention can be widely used in reducing inflammation such as throat inflammation and tonsil inflammation, and can be used in the preparation of orally administered and topical anti-inflammatory drugs for treating various types of inflammation.
