Abstract:
Disclosed are: an extract powder of an indigo-containing plant, which has a low hygroscopic property, excellent fluidability and high storage stability; a method for producing the extract powder; and a composition comprising the extract powder. Specifically disclosed are: a method for producing an extract powder of an indigo-containing plant, which comprises the steps of adding 0.25 to 5 parts by mass (inclusive) (in terms of the mass of an anhydride) of a partial hydrolyzate of starch having a dextrose equivalent of 10.2 or less to 1 part by mass (in terms of the mass of an anhydride) of an indigo-containing plant extract in an indigo-containing plant extract solution, and then drying the mixture; an extract powder of an indigo-containing plant, which is produced by the method; and a composition comprising the extract powder.
