Abstract:
An eyeball tracking method and system based on virtual reality. The method comprises: firstly, presenting eyeball calibration data to the two eyes of a user by means of a display (S110); then, acquiring the distance between the pupils of the two eyes of the user by means of the eyeball calibration data (S120); then, photographing reflected infrared light of a turned-on left infrared light source by means of a left tracking camera, and photographing reflected infrared light of a turned-on right infrared light source by means of a right tracking camera, so that tracking data of a single eye is formed in each specific frame, and tracking data of the other single eye in the specific frame is calculated according to the distance between the pupils of the two eyes and the tracking data of the single eye (S130); and arranging the tracking data of the single eye and the tracking data of the other single eye according to the time order of the specific frames to form tracking data of the two eyes, so as to complete eyeball tracking (S140). Since only one of a left infrared light source and a right infrared light source can be turned on in the same specific frame, there is no mutual interference, such that the problems in double-eyeball tracking of light emitted by light sources being prone to mutual interference, and a calculation result having a large error can be solved.
