Description:
INVENTION TITLE

EYEBROW TRANSPLANTATION AND TATTOO STENCIL

TECHNICAL FIELD OF INVENTION

This invention is related to a tool to determine the exact location of the eyebrow transplantation, eyebrow hair strokes, eyebrow tattoo, and even eyebrow restoration. Additionally, this invention is related to a stencil holder used to fix the placement of the transplantation or/and tattoo marker tool, and a way to specify the exact location of the eyebrow transplantation, tattoo, and hair strokes symmetrically on the facial skin, under high and low density eyebrow areas according to the chosen design of the eyebrow shape.

PRIOR ART

Now, in order to restore eyebrow and solve the problem of eyebrow hair loss, two methods which are eyebrow transplantation and eyebrow tattooing are being used. For this purpose, some stencils, which are produced based on the applicant two- dimensional (2D) photos, are used on the facial skin in the location of eyebrows for drawing the edge of eyebrows. These stencils are not accurate enough, and by using them, only the outline of the eyebrow (eyebrow margin) can be drawn, and the density and the direction of the eyebrow hair strokes and eyebrow hairs are not specified, resulting in asymmetry between the two eyebrows.

Different methods and stencils have been designed for this purpose, some of which have been filed as patents, each with its own advantages and disadvantages.

Patent No. US8997757B1, filed by Anastasia Soare on 10/15/2013 as Golden Ratio Eyebrow Shaping Method at US Patent Office, indicates a method to shape and form eyebrows using 2D photos of applicant’s face. These photos are taken from the forehead, nose, nasal tip, eyes, and eyebrows. A guideline from the nasal tip is created through the iris to the center of the eye. Three guidelines are determined on the image. The second line is drawn from the nostril, and the third line is drawn from the outer edge of the nostril to the outer edge of the eye. In this method, there is a stencil kit which has different stencil patterns. After taking the photo, one of the stencils is placed on the eyebrow, and the eyebrow hair strokes are drawn by an eyebrow pen. The above invention is only for drawing the outline of the eyebrows and has no idea for the hair strokes design. An image related to this invention is presented below. Also belonging to the present state of the art there is patent No.US2917058A, filed by Ferrar Fred on 12/12/1957 as an Eyebrow Stencil at US Patent Office. This invention includes an eyebrow stencil which has a flexible layer and can be moved on the human skin. Also, it has a marker at the end for more symmetry with eyes on the other sheet of the layer. In this invention, as in the previous one, there is a possibility of error and asymmetrical eyebrows. Also, there is not any innovation for the direction of hair stroke design and eyebrow hair growth. An image of this invention is given below.

Moreover, patent No.US20080276953Al has been presented by Wendy Kay McGee as “Eyebrow Stencil Positioning Apparatus with Stencil Visualization Lines” on 05/12/2008 at US Patent Office. This invention provides an eyebrow stencil positioning device with visual lines that allows horizontal and vertical alignment simultaneously through two diaphragms. It has a strap with symmetrical diaphragms placed on it and a wire which attaches to the human head. This wire can move on the head, so that the problem of asymmetry has not been solved yet.

Another patent, No. US8763614B2, is filed by Anastasia Soare on 12/03/2012 at the US Patent Office under the Eyebrow Stencil Holder. This invention represents an eyebrow stencil holder that includes a pedal connecting the nostril to the outer edge of the eye and has an adjustable button on either side of the nostrils. Also, it has a clamp for attaching to the stencils and making the stencils to be placed symmetrically. In this method, as with other previous inventions, there is a possibility of error in establishing the symmetry of the eyebrows due to the lack of maintenance and the difficulty of fixing the device.

Another patent, No. US518619A is filed with by Suzy C. Hirzel on 12/07/1989 at the US Patent Office as Eyebrow Stencil Kit with Alignment Members. This invention has a pair of wing- shaped chambers with bolts that move horizontally and vertically. The stencil above has one or more eyebrow shape and an eye shadow guide and it is supported by flexible strips and clips around the head. The invention also has a high error rate because of the same distance between the two eyebrows for all people. Below is an image of the invention.

TECHNICAL ISSUES

Each mentioned patent has its disadvantages including asymmetrical eyebrows due to the unfixed stencils which move during microblading and transplantation, inaccuracies in the steps, unspecified density and direction of eyebrow hairs, hair strokes location, transplantation point, and the direction of eyebrow hair growth. PURPOSE OF INVENTION

The present invention is designed to solve the mentioned problems and increase the accuracy and speed of the microblading and eyebrow implantation process using the stencil designed in this invention. This stencil is produced based on the applicant 3D model, and the stencil holder form is designed based on the applicant’s skull shape. Also, this stencil has embedded parts fixed to the face through the nose. Therefore, this invention has the desired accuracy in positioning on the face. Also, these stencils, in addition to the outline of the eyebrows, can specify density, orientation, and location of hair strokes and transplantation points, and growth direction. It should be mentioned that because of the toothed form of the stencil, the printing of pre-designed form of eyebrow hair strokes and the points on the face needed for eyebrow transplantation under low or high-density eyebrow areas is possible.

INVENTION DESCRIPTION

The present invention is a tool to print the form of eyebrow and the exact location of eyebrow on the face for microblading, tattoo or transplantation. In this invention, using the 3D scanner output, the applicant's 3D image is designed in engineering software. In this software, the applicant can try different eyebrow models in terms of design, color, density, etc. on her/his face and select the one which is in accordance with her/his desires. Finally, based on the selected procedure (eyebrow implant or tattoo) and the applicant's face analysis, proprietary stencil parts including stencil and stencil holder are made by 3D printers. The types of templates and their holders are as follows:

The task of the eyebrow microblading stencil is to print the hair strokes form preset by the software on the applicant's face. The mentioned stencil (Figure 1) is a tool produced by 3D scanners based on the applicant’s 3D image, and on its surface, the selected hair strokes form with predetermined density is specified. This tool has number of holes at the top and bottom to connect the stencil to the stencil holder as a stencil guide.

Before microblading procedure, to find the exact location of the hair strokes, the toothed surface of the stencil which determines the hair strokes form is soaked with ink and applied to the predetermined location of the face by the stencil holder. Thus, the hair strokes form will be printed by the toothed surface soaked with ink on the applicant’s face. When the stencil applies on the facial skin, because of its toothed shape, the applicant’s eyebrow hairs in low and high-density areas will be placed between indentations of the stencil, so that the indentations soaked with ink will definitely touch the surface of the skin, and the applicant’s eyebrow hairs cannot prevent the indentations from being applied to the skin's surface. This collision brings about the pre-designed hair strokes form to be printed on the applicant's facial skin. Next, the tattoo operator sees the selected microblading form on the applicant’s facial skin and can easily perform the microblading procedure.

Eyebrow stencil holder and guide with a direct movement is basically the base of the positioning of the stencil on the face. The function of the eyebrow stencil holder and guide with a direct movement is to accurately place the stencil on the applicant’ s face. Therefore, it is very important that this stencil is positioned on the predetermined location in the software. For this purpose, the eyebrow stencil holder (Figure 4) based on the applicant's 3D scan face model, is produced by a 3D printer. This piece continues along the applicant's shafts, thus eliminates the possibility of improper positioning of the holder on the horizontal axis. Also, due to the vertical part of the holder which continues to the nasal base, the possibility of error in the positioning of the template in the vertical axis is eliminated. To fix this holder on the applicant's face, the elastic strap (Figure 4, Part 2) is fixed on both sides of the holder from behind the applicant’s head. For better positioning of the eyebrow tattoo stencil, three cylinders are positioned perpendicular to the face around each of the eyebrow stencil holder holes. The pistil of these three cylinders is placed on the eyebrow tattoo or transplantation stencil. By placing these pistils on the cylinders, the operator fixes the stencil onto the holder in a linear motion.

There are two symmetrical spaces in the eyebrow stencil holder for two toothed shape eyebrow microblading stencils. The positioning of the eyebrow tattoo stencil on the facial skin is performed by three vertical guides on the holder.

Rotary eyebrow stencil holder and guide is another guide base of the stencil. The function of the rotary eyebrow stencil holder and guide is to accurately place the stencil on the applicant’s face. Therefore, it is very important that this stencil is positioned on the predetermined location in the software. For this purpose the eyebrow stencil (Figure 5) is produced based on the applicant's 3D scan face model, by a 3D printer. This piece continues along the applicant's shafts (Figure 5, Part 1), thus eliminates the possibility of improper positioning of the holder on the horizontal axis. Also, due to the vertical part of the holder which continues to the nasal base, the possibility of error in the positioning of the template in the vertical axis is eliminated. To fix this holder on the applicant's face, the elastic strap (Figure 5, Part 2) is fixed on both sides of the holder from behind the applicant’s head.

For better positioning of the eyebrow tattoo stencil, a T-shaped piece (Figure 5 Part 3) that is attached to the middle of the holder by a hinge (Figure 5 Part 4) is provided to hold two eyebrow tattoo stencils. This T-shaped piece is rotated, and when positioned at the lowest angle to match the applicant's face, the stencils are positioned in pre-designed location by the software, and the hair strokes are printed on the applicant's face based on the predetermined design. Stencil with the ability to print transplantation dots and direction (figure 3) is another example of the present invention. The essential factors in eyebrow transplantation are the density of transplantation dots and the direction and angle of eyebrow transplantation. The eyebrow transplantation stencil indicates the exact location of dots in which the hair follicle should be placed. For this purpose, the eyebrow design software analyzes the 3D model of the applicant’s eyebrow (Figure 3) and provides information about the exact location, direction, and angle of each eyebrow hair which should be planted.

Based on this information, the stencil with the ability to print transplantation dots and the direction and angle of eyebrow hair transplantation from the front view (Figure 4), is produced according to the applicant’s skull form. On the surface of this stencil, all the transplantation dots and lines highlighting the direction of transplantation are specified. Also, this piece has a hole in order to be connected to all the eyebrow stencil holders and guides. Before the procedure of eyebrow transplantation, in order to determine the exact location and angles of the transplantation, the outstanding surfaces of the stencil which indicates the transplantation dots and direction are soaked with the ink and encounter the predetermined location of the face using stencil holder. Thus, the ink-soaked dots print the transplantation dots pattern and lines indicating transplantation direction on the applicant’s face. Next, the eyebrow transplantation operator implants the entire follicle in the predetermined locations.

Lines printed on the applicant’s face are for indicating the insertion point of the needle into the applicant’s skin. Also, transparent needle guide stencils with different angles (from 5° to 85°) are produced, so that the operator can insert the transplantation needle into the applicant’s facial skin properly in terms of angle. These stencils are semi-cylindrical in shape and have a hole through which the needle is guided at an appropriate angle to the surface of the skin as well as the appropriate angle printed on the applicant's skin. For eyebrow transplantation according to the eyebrow design, by analyzing the eyebrow in the software and determining the proper angle, the operator chooses a transparent needle guide stencil with the right angle. By placing the middle semicircular part of the stencil on the transplantation dot and rotating the stencil for adjusting the stencil index with the line printed, the operator can insert the transplantation needle into the stencil guide hole. Therefore, the operator can make sure that the hole is created in the skin at an appropriate angle to the skin as well as at a predetermined angle from the front view of the skin. After the perforation of the skin, the follicle is implanted. This method increases the accuracy of eyebrow transplantation and avoids personal style and the instant decision of the operator.

INVENTION ADVANTAGES

• Make applicant’ s eyebrows symmetrical · High precision in the process of microblading or eyebrow implantation

• Eyebrow microblading or transplantation exactly based on the applicant’s desire Making stencils for each applicant separately and individually

Printing hair stroke form before microblading under high or low density eyebrow areas on the applicant’s face

AN EXECUTABLE METHOD FOR THE INVENTION

In this invention, to perform microblading or eyebrow tattooing, a precise scanning of applicant’s face is provided, and by using the eyebrow tattoo or transplantation design software, the applicant can see different eyebrow tattoo or transplantation models and choose his/her ideal eyebrow form. If the applicant requests an eyebrow tattoo, his/her eyebrow tattoo stencil is selected based on the hair strokes form and the eyebrow stencil holder is also produced by 3D printer based on the 3D scanning. The eyebrow area is anesthetized locally, and then the stencil is positioned on the applicant’ s face. The stencil specific to the applicant is soaked with high durability ink and applied to the face by the stencil holder and guide. With this method, the hair stroke design will be printed on the applicant’s face. It should be mentioned that because of the toothed form of the stencil, the design will be printed on all parts of the skin even on high-density eyebrow areas. Therefore, it is not possible for the operator to make a mistake or execute personal preferences, and the applicant’s dissatisfaction will be decreased.

If the applicant requests eyebrow transplantation, after eyebrow transplantation designed by the software, transplantation dots and direction to achieve the design are analyzed. Next, the stencil holder and guide and the stencil printing the transplantation dots and direction are produced by the 3D printer based on the design. Afterward, the stencil holder is placed on the applicant's face, and the specified template to the applicant is soaked with high durability ink and is applied to the face by the template holder and guide. By doing this, the pattern of the transplantation dots and directions are printed on the applicant’s face. Therefore, for eyebrow transplantation based on the design, after analyzing the eyebrow design in the software and determining the angle of needle insertion, the operator chooses the stencil guide with a specific angle. By placing the middle semicircular part of the stencil on the transplantation dot and rotating the stencil for adjusting the stencil index with the line printed, the operator inserts the transplantation needle into the stencil guide hole. To ensure that the eyebrow stencil is placed accurately on the face, two approaches have been proposed for this purpose. In the first method the applicant holds the eyebrow stencil on her face and placed against the Kinect machine (figure 11) and scan. Beforehand the accurate information about the location of the stencil on the face has been given to Kinect machine. This machine by comparing the current and predetermined location of eyebrow, tell whether the stencil is positioned on the right place or not.

In the second method, by using specific mobile software and by holding a cell phone’s camera in front of the face, the inverse location of applicant’s eyebrow stencil is shown at the real time upon which the operator can mark the location of the stencil on the face.

In the next method, by using a robot (figure 12) and three or four axis can place the eyebrow’s template on the applicant’s face.

In this method, the accurate location of applicant’s face has been accommodated with the predetermined scanning 3D model and identified the accurate place of microblading and positioning of eyebrow’s template on the applicant’s face and this robot can place the template on applicant’ s face by high accuracy and print the design on the face.
