Title:
EYEGLASS LENS FOR AN OPTICAL IMAGING ELEMENT, AND AUGMENTED REALITY GLASSES
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2017/157807
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
The invention relates to an eyeglass lens (3) for an optical imaging element for producing a virtual image of an initial image that is depicted on an imager (21). The eyeglass lens comprises a main body (41) and at least one complementary element (43) mounted on said main body (41). The main body (41) consists of a material with a first index of refraction n1, and comprises an inner surface (13) for facing the eye, an outer surface (17) for facing away from the eye, and a light conducting section which extends between an incoupling section (25) for coupling in an imaging beam path between the inner surface (13) and the outer surface (17), and an outcoupling structure (31) for coupling said imaging beam path out from the main body (41). In said light conducting section, the imaging beam path is conducted to the outcoupling structure (31) by means of reflection at at least one reflection section (R1, R2, R3, R4) of the inner surface (13) and/or of the outer surface (17). The complementary element (43) is mounted on the inner surface (13) and/or the outer surface (17) of the main body (41), and overlaps with at least one reflection section (R1, R2, R3, R4) of the main body (41). A viscous or solid intermediate layer (45) is arranged between the complementary element (43) and the main body (41) at least in the region where the complementary element (43) overlaps with the reflection section (R1, R2, R3, R4). The material of the viscous or solid intermediate layer (45) has a second index of refraction n2 that satisfies the inequation n2 < n1 sin(θE), where θE is an angle of incidence of the light beams of the imaging beam path proceeding from the incoupling section (25) and incident on the reflection section (R1, R2, R3, R4), selected such that at least 50 % of the light beams of the imaging beam path have an angle of incidence of θ >θΕ.
