Abstract:
A technology for enhancing the abrasion resistance of fabric or composite fabric
for use in fiber products, such as clothing product, without detriment to the
appearance thereof; and further a technology for simultaneously realizing
the abrasion resistance and lightweightness of fabric or composite fabric without
detriment to the appearance and texture thereof. The abrasion resistance of
fabric can be enhanced without detriment to the appearance thereof by coating
the surface of fabric with polymer dots as an abrasion resistant resin, the polymer
dots regulated so as for the average maximum diameter thereof to be 0.5 mm or less.
Further, the abrasion resistance and lightweightness can simultaneously
be realized by regulating the rate of polymer dots in surface coating so as to range
from 0.2 to 3.0 g/m2.
