The present invention discloses a fabric shielding electromagnetic wave and a preparation method thereof. This invention solves the problems in the former chemical plating technology that fabric was poor in light transmission using coating material on wider fiber and therefore wasn't satisfy to special demand of shielding.The fabric of present invention is obtained by two steps coating, first coating copper, and second coating nickel, to get higher conductivity, shield value and various colors. This fabric may be used in various fields, such as TV set, computer screen, plane windows, windows or walls of army vehicle, army tent and secret room, since it is good in light transmission while shielding the electromagnetic wave outside.
