Abstract:
[Problem] To realize "improvement in design properties" and "improvement in peeling strength" through the formation of hooked sections at the tips of male pile fibers, or the like. [Solution] In the present invention, in a male-type fabric 1, hooked sections 3 are formed at the tips of male pile fibers 2. In a female-type fabric 10, female pile fibers 12 are crimped by loop piles, and a web-like female pile layer 12' is formed in which a plurality of the female pile fibers 12 are mutually intertwined. In paired male and female hook-and-loop fasteners 20 comprising the male-type fabric 1 and the female-type fabric 10, the diameters of the female pile fibers 12 are no greater than the lengths of the hooked sections 3 of the male pile fibers 2. In a method for manufacturing the male-type fabric 1, the hooked sections 3 are provided at the tips of the male pile fibers 2 in a hook formation step S1. A method for manufacturing the female-type fabric 10 comprises: a weaving step S11 in which one cloth 15 that includes soluble fibers Y and another cloth 16 that does not include the soluble fibers Y are connected by warp pile threads; and subsequently, a dissolution step S12 in which the soluble fibers Y in the one cloth 15 are dissolved to form the loop piles of the female pile fibers 12.
