Abstract:
For registered data and input data, this face matching device (10) detects the number of interocular pixels, i.e., the number of pixels lying between the eyes in a facial region. Then, scale-specific similarity degrees are calculated by generating processing data of different scales from the registered data and input data, and matching processing is performed with weighted scale-specific similarity degrees that correspond to the number of interocular pixels. Thereby, even if the resolution of the registered data and input data is unclear, it is possible to dynamically and adaptively reduce the effect of resolution differences.
