Abstract:
The present invention relates to a face recognition method and apparatus, and an access control attendance machine. The method is based on the access control attendance machine having a display screen, and comprises: when a definition score of a face image is higher than a preset threshold, directly sending the acquired image into a face recognition module for performing recognition; when the score is lower than the preset threshold, switching the display screen to a full white-screen state, and adjusting the brightness value to maximum to continue to acquire an image; and after the recognition is completed, recovering the display screen to normal displaying. According to the method and apparatus, and the access control attendance machine, after a face image is acquired, the definition is evaluated first, and if the definition is low, the ambient natural light around may not be sufficient, or the low definition may be caused by backlight, and then the display screen is switched to the full white-screen state, and the brightness value is adjusted to maximum, making the display screen similar to an area light source with a large area, so that a light supplementary function is achieved to some extent; then acquisition of images is continued, and there is a great probability that a face image with higher quality may be acquired. Therefore, the recognition speed is improved, and the recognition success rate is also improved.
