Abstract:
A facility management system comprises a facility GIS database having electronic map data and facility management GIS data composed of data which identifies the position and form of a facility located along a railroad or road, a facility register database in which the name, kilometer distance, and attribute information of a railroad track or road are managed in association with one another, and a kilometer distance information management section in which the coordinate data and kilometer distance on the general map of the facility are managed in association with each other. If the attribute information of a facility is retrieved from the facility register database, the kilometer distance information management section is referenced to acquire information on the kilometer distance from the coordinate data of the facility and the attribute information of the facility is retrieved from the facility register database on the basis of the kilometer distance information.
