Abstract:
An interfacing device for a facsimile device with messaging is disclosed. The interfacing device includes a mechanism to receive a digital facsimile representation from the facsimile device. The interfacing device further sends the representation as an attachment to an electronic mail to a recipient node over a communications network. The interfacing device includes a message generator to permit entry of a message at the interfacing device, which is to be sent to the recipient node within the electronic mail. In different embodiments, the generator includes a keyboard, and a microphone.
