Abstract:
A failure capture module (FMOD) is provided for each segment that includes m channels (m being an integer greater than or equal to 2), and each failure capture module receives and captures failure data for channels belonging to the corresponding segment. Each segment is divided into n sub-segments (n being an integer greater than or equal to 2), and a sub-segment failure detection unit (101 to 10n) is provided for each sub-segment. If a failure occurs in at least one channel belonging to a sub-segment, the corresponding sub-segment failure detection unit asserts a sub-segment failure datum (S101 to S10n). A capture control unit (30) captures failure data for all m channels into a failure memory (DFM) when one or more sub-segment failure data are asserted.
