Abstract:
A failure determination device for a T/A oil temperature sensor 30 that detects the oil temperature of a transaxle 7 of a vehicle 1 includes, in the vehicle 1, a GEN oil temperature sensor 32 that detects a cooling oil temperature of a motor generator 10, and also includes, in a hybrid control unit 18, a failure determination unit 31 that determines a failure of the T/A oil temperature sensor 30 and a sitting time measurement unit 33 that measures the sitting time of the vehicle 1. The failure determination unit 31 inputs the oil temperature of the transaxle 7 and the oil temperature of a motor generator 10 when the vehicle 1 is started after sitting for not less than a first predetermined time, and when the difference between the oil temperature of the transaxle 7 and the oil temperature of the motor generator 10 is equal to or larger than a predetermined value when the GEN oil temperature sensor 32 is normal, it is determined that the T/A oil temperature sensor 30 is malfunctioning.
