Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a fall detection means, fall alarm means, and fall report means for accurately and quickly detecting when an object, which normally moves with a stable attitude without flipping upside down, has started to fall. [Solution] The present invention is characterized in that when an object shows a prescribed acceleration and a motion function of the object is working normally, a vertical direction is determined solely on the basis of an angular velocity value, and when the occurrence of an abnormality in the motion function of the object, or the like, results in the detection of free fall of the object, a vertical direction based on an acceleration value is determined, and a vertical direction during motion is determined through weighted addition of the two vertical directions, and if free fall in the vertical direction during motion is determined to have continued for a prescribed time, a determination is immediately made that the object has started falling.
