Abstract:
A fall prevention device is provided which can be easily mounted between the upper surface of an object and the ceiling, and a mounting method thereof are provided. This fall prevention device (1) is provided with a damper (10) and a pair of base units (21, 22). The damper (10) comprises a cylinder (11) and a piston (14) slidably housed in the cylinder (11). The damper (10) is mounted between the ceiling and the upper surface of a piece of furniture (the object) arranged on an installation surface. The pair of base units (21, 22) are linked to the two ends of the damper (10): one base unit (21) contacts the upper surface of the piece of furniture and the other base unit (22) contacts the ceiling. The cylinder (11) has an injection port (11a) for internally injecting a hydraulic fluid (a hydraulic liquid).
