Abstract:

Information on management of network information collected from a computer and a router is analyzed to detect a variation of the management information specific to the activity of a false access program (worm). Alert information including the type of the device from which management information concerning the variation detection is collected and address information on the device for which there is a suspicion that a worm acts is created. If the type of the device indicated by the alert information is a computer, an instruction to delete relay information on the computer is made and transmitted. If the type of the device is a network connector, an instruction to the network connector to set a filter for cutting off the communication by the worm is made and transmitted.
