Abstract:
The present invention relates to a fan (1) for cooling a bidirectional induction motor. The fan (1) comprises a hub (2) which is releasably mountable onto the shaft of the induction motor and one or more than one radially and axially straight blade (3) which is mounted onto the hub (2). In the fan (1 ) of the present invention at least one radially and axially straight blade (3) comprises a stiff leading section (4) and a flexible trailing section (5). The flexible trailing section (5) flexes rearwards in response to the rotation towards an axially inclined orientation about a predetermined axis (L) which has a radial component.
