Abstract:
A fare settlement system (100) is configured by including a communication device (105) which communicates with another device, and an arithmetic device (104) that: obtains, from a station service device (200) of a transportation system, a reading result about a passenger's fare settlement medium (50) at the station service device (200); determines whether the identification information of the fare settlement medium (50) included in the reading result falls within prescribed use limit target information (125) relating to the transportation system; and carries out a process for reporting an entry permission to the station service device (200) and a process for reporting a lowest fare settlement request for the fare settlement medium (50) to a prescribed settlement system (300) when the identification information is not included in the use limit target information (125).
