Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide methods and apparatus for maintaining and adjusting timers for fast cell updates. According to certain aspects, a method for maintain and adjusting timers for fast cell updates generally includes maintaining a timer for triggering a cell update (CU) procedure, adjusting the timer to trigger the CU procedure faster or sooner based on detection of one or more conditions related to a special burst transmission, and triggering the CU procedure if the timer expires.
