Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for thermally processing a raw material, for example peat, sawdust or agricultural waste. The technical result of the invention is reduced energy consumption and more efficient production of an end product. The present reactor is mounted on a steel framework in the form of a steel housing containing a rotating hollow steel cylinder, and comprises a charging hopper, a pipe for egress of organic matter breakdown products, an outlet pipe for discharging the product generated during pyrolysis, and a heating element. The housing consists of two parts, which are interconnected by bolts on flanges. The two ends of the cylinder are delimited by rings with through openings at the centre. Blades are welded to the cylinder along a horizontal axis thereof throughout the entire length of the cylinder. Hollow axle shafts are welded to the end rings of the cylinder about the central axis thereof, the inside diameter of said axle shafts being the same as the diameter of the openings in the end rings. The axle shafts extend beyond the confines of the housing via annular openings in the side walls of the reactor and rest on rotating supports. A chain wheel is fastened on one of the axle shafts by a screw connection. When assembled, the cylinder has a through cavity, inside which electric heating elements are arranged along the axis of rotation. A rod passes through the centre of the cavity, to which rod electric heating elements are fastened on insulators by means of clamping collars. The reactor housing is lined inside and outside with heat insulating materials.
