Abstract:
An ultrasonic sensor module (1) is inserted into a hole (7) provided on a bumper (6) of a vehicle for provisional positioning of the module. A fastening ring plate having a fastening portion (3) provided with a hole (3a) in which a retainer (4) is received and connected to the fastening portion by an adaptor (5) is mounted to the ultrasonic sensor module (1) from the back side of the bumper (6). The fastening portion (3) is then fixed to the back side of the bumper (6) by means of an adhesive (11) while the retainer (4) presses a flange (9) of the ultrasonic sensor module.
