The present invention provides fastener stringers (102) each provided with: a knit fastener tape (100, 200) comprising an element mounting section (A) and a tape body section (B) and formed of a warp knitted structure; and a coiled resin element string (101) sewn onto the element mounting section (A). In each fastener stringer (102), two needle yarns (106) for sewing the element string (101) to the element mounting section (A) are arranged straddling one wale (W2) to generate two stitch lines, one of knitting yarns (104', 105'', 112') straddling the inner one of the two stitch lines having a fineness of 72 to 330 dTex and substantially all of the other knitting yarns having a fineness of 56 to 167 dTex, but the one knitting yarn (104', 105'', 112') straddling the inner one of the two stitch lines is thicker than substantially all of the other knitting yarns. The fastener stringers of the present invention combine light weight with strength.
