Abstract:
Fastener tapes (10, 20) are each provided with a tape body section (12, 22) and an element mounting section (11, 21) into which a core cord (15, 25) is woven. The tape body section (12, 22) is provided with a first tape-body-section region (12a, 22a) located on the element mounting section (11, 21) side, and also with a second tape-body-section region (12b, 22b). The distance between each wale (W2, W3-W5), the wale (W2) being located in the element mounting section (11, 21) adjacent to the first tape-body-section region (12a, 22a) and the wales (W3-W5) forming the first tape-body-section region (12a, 22a), is less than the distance between each wale in the second tape-body-section region (12b, 22b). The configuration improves, while the flexibility of the second tape-body-section region (12b, 22b) is maintained, the tape strength and wear resistance of the first tape-body-section region (12a, 22a) and of a region of the element mounting section (11, 21), the region being located on the tape body section side, and in addition, the configuration can prevent a molten material from leaking from woven meshes of the element mounting section (11, 21) when fastener elements (2) are molded.
