Abstract:
A fastening device and a tie cord winding/unwinding method. The fastening device of the present invention comprises a housing, a reel, multiple ratchet teeth, a segmented unwinding set, and a knob. A ratchet arm is engaged with the ratchet teeth to prevent the reel from rotating in an unwinding direction, and the ratchet arm is disengaged from the ratchet teeth when the knob is rotated towards a winding direction, so as to allow for the reel to wind the tie cord; the ratchet arm is separated from the ratchet teeth when a swing arm is operated, so as to allow for the tie cord to be unwound in segments; and the tie cord is allowed to be fully unwound when the knob is pulled up or rotated towards the unwinding direction, thereby achieving the purpose of unwinding in segments or fully unwinding the tie cord.
