Abstract:
This fastening member has a head and a shaft which has a thread formed thereon. The shaft has a body and an outer peripheral section which is provided radially outside the body. The portion of the outer peripheral section, which corresponds to the thread, is constituted of a first alloy material and forms a portion including at least the crest of the thread. The portion of the body, which corresponds to the thread, is constituted of a second alloy material having higher tensile strength than the first alloy material and forms a portion including the root of the thread. The portion of the outer peripheral section, which corresponds to the thread, has: a thick-walled section where the wall thickness is maximum in the circumferential direction of the shaft; and a thin-walled section where the wall thickness is minimum in the circumferential direction of the shaft.
