Provided are a fastening structure for a stud bolt and a fastened member, a fastening method, and a stud bolt employing a structure such that the stud bolt can be fastened securely to the fastened member and a crimped portion does not protrude from the plate surface of the fastened member. Multiple protrusions 51 extending in the axial direction are provided in the circumferential direction on a crimping shaft section 5; the threaded shaft section 4 of the stud bolt 1 is inserted into a pilot hole 101 in a metal thin plate 100, and the crimping shaft section 5 is press-fitted against the inner circumference of the pilot hole 101 of the metal thin plate 100, thereby causing the protrusions 51 to bite into the inner circumference of the pilot hole 100; by crimping the end portion protruding on the threaded-shaft side of the pilot hole 100, an overhanging part 54 overhanging in the radial direction is formed; the metal thin plate 100 is clamped in the axial direction between the overhanging part 54 and a shoulder section 23 of a stud section 2; and in addition, an annular recess 102 is provided by locally indenting the peripheral edge of the pilot hole 101 of the metal thin plate 100 with the overhanging part 54.
