Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a fat composition to be used in infant formula, the fat composition having sufficiently low concentrations of 3-MCPD and glycidol and fatty acid esters thereof, as well as exceptional storage stability, and meeting certain nutritional criteria. This problem is solved by a fat composition to be used in infant formula containing linoleic acid and α-linolenic acid, wherein the fat composition has a fat content of 0.5% or less with respect to fats solid at 35°C, a 3-monochloropropane-1,2-diol (3-MCPD) concentration of 0.33 ppm or less, and a glycidol concentration of 0.07 ppm or less.
