Abstract:
A fault detection apparatus and method for a high-voltage device in a power distribution transformer area. The apparatus comprises a three-phase ceramic capacitive insulator (1), a voltage-dividing capacitor (2), a measurement impedor (3), a change-over switch (4), a signal detection unit (5), and a signal processing unit (6). A built-in capacitor of the three-phase ceramic capacitive insulator (1) and the voltage-dividing capacitor (2) have the same capacitor material, and respectively lead out two terminals, which are used for overvoltage detection and partial discharge detection; and by means of the control of the change-over switch (4) by the signal processing unit (6), automatic conversion between overvoltage detection and partial discharge detection is realized. The present application has both an overvoltage detection mode and a partial discharge detection mode, has high adaptability, does not affect the electrical performance of an original device, is simple to implement, and is suitable for large-scale application.
