Abstract:
A fault detection method and device for an encoder of a movable platform (11, 71), and a storage medium. A control device of a movable platform (11, 71) sends a first control instruction used for controlling the rotation of a motor to a motor driver of the movable platform (S401), and while the motor driver drives the motor to rotate according to the first control instruction, the rotation state of the motor that is detected by an encoder in the movable platform (11, 71) is acquired (S402), and fault detection is performed on the encoder according to the rotation state of the motor that is detected by the encoder (S403). Compared with the prior art in which only hardware detection is performed on an encoder, the faults that cannot be detected by hardware detection may be detected, thus improving the accuracy of the fault detection of the encoder.
