Abstract:
A fault diagnosis device for a wind power generation device, said fault diagnosis device including a sensor (81) that detects parameters (oscillation, acoustic emission (AE)) with which faults in the wind power generation device are determined; a sensor (82) capable of detecting yaw motion of the nacelle; and a fault diagnosis device (80) that diagnoses faults in the wind power generation device on the basis of the output from sensor (81) and the output from sensor (82). Preferably the fault diagnosis device (80) uses the detection result from sensor (81) during a period in which no yaw motion of the nacelle (90) is detected by sensor (82), and does not use the detection result from sensor (81) during a period in which yaw motion of the nacelle is detected by sensor (82), thereby diagnosing faults in the wind power generation device on the basis of the utilized detection result from sensor (81). By detecting yaw motion in the wind power detection device, it is possible to provide a fault diagnosis device and a fault diagnosis method for a wind power generation device with which the detection precision is improved with respect to faults in bearings and the like.
