Abstract:
Provided are a fault locating method, apparatus and system, which belong to the technical field of optical fiber communications. The method comprises: acquiring a first correlation between a receiving time and a receiving power of reverse backhaul when a test optical signal that can be reflected by a reflecting component arranged at each port of at least one stage of optical splitter is subjected to downlink transmission in an ODN, wherein the reverse backhaul comprises backscattering and being reflected, or backscattering; determining, according to the first correlation, a second correlation between a transmission distance and a receiving power during the reverse backhaul when the test optical signal is subjected to downlink transmission in an optical fiber between each port of the at least one stage of optical splitter and a device connected to each port; and locating the fault of the ODN according to the second correlation. By using the present application, the fault of an ODN can be accurately located.
