Abstract:
A feed additive for laying hens which comprises lactobionic acid or a lactobionic acid salt; and a feed characterized by containing a feed additive for laying hens which comprises lactobionic acid or a lactobionic acid salt with a feed. Thus, a feed additive for laying hens, which has an excellent effect of strengthening egg shell (in particular, being effective in improving egg shell qualities in the latter half of the egg laying time), can relieve stresses caused by forced molting, gauge transfer, etc. and can inhibit a lowering in the egg laying rate, is provided.
