Abstract:
A feeder (21) equipped with: a feeder main body (21b); a tape guide (77) provided on the feeder main body (21b) and equipped with a tape peeling device (70) that peels off a cover tape (92) covering component storage units (91a); a tape transport path (38) formed along the feeding direction of an embossed carrier tape (90) between the feeder main body (21b) and the tape guide (77), and having a recessed groove (38b) into which the component storage units (91a) of the embossed carrier tape (90) can be inserted; and a pressing device (80) arranged inside the recessed groove (38b) of the tape transport path (38) and pressing the embossed carrier tape (90) in the direction in which contact is made with the tape guide (77). The pressing device (80) is positioned inside the recessed groove (38), on both sides of the component storage units (91a) in the width direction, and presses flange parts (91b) of the embossed carrier tape (90) without pressing the component storage units (91a).
