Abstract:
This feeder is provided with: a first sprocket provided at an insertion part and having engagement protrusions which are capable of engaging with engaging holes of a carrier tape and which are formed on only portions of the outer periphery; and a second sprocket disposed so as to be aligned with the first sprocket at a supply part side in relation to the first sprocket and having engagement protrusions formed along the entire periphery. In an unloading process for conveying the carrier tape to the insertion part side, once the engagement protrusions of the second sprocket are in an unengaged state with the carrier tape, a control device of the feeder regulates the contact between the carrier tape and the engagement protrusions of the first sprocket with respect to the carrier tape.
