Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a feeding device such that the occurrence of overrun can be prevented and time for feeding a metal strip can be sufficiently ensured. This feeding device is provided with a first positioning pin (84) which is inserted into through-holes 11 or notches of a fed metal strip (10) so as to perform the positioning of the metal strip (10). The top end surface of the first positioning pin (84) is formed as an inclined surface (84a) that inclines downstream in the feed direction. A vertical movement device for vertically moving the positioning pin (84) is configured so as to start to raise the positioning pin (84) before the through-holes 11 or notches of the metal strip (10) reach directly above the positioning pin (84), so that the upstream end (84b) in the feed direction of the top end surface of the positioning pin (84) is inserted into the through-holes 11 or notches of the metal strip (10) before the through-holes 11 or notches of the metal strip (10) reach directly above the positioning pin (84). The feeding device is also provided with a second positioning pin (102) which is biased upward by a biasing member. The top end surface of the second positioning pin (102) has an inclined surface (102a) that inclines upstream in the feed direction.
