Abstract:
In order to obtain good carrying accuracy by reducing back tension at the time of a recording operation of a recording medium that is being carried, specifically provided is a feeding device characterized by comprising: a pressing plate on which a recording medium is mounted; a feeding means which feeds the recording medium loaded on the pressing plate; a restriction member which restricts the position of the side end of the recording medium loaded on the pressing plate; a supporting means which has a base portion on which the recording medium loaded on the pressing plate is partially mounted, and which supports the restriction member; a carrying means which carries the recording medium fed by the feeding means; and a moving means which separates the restriction member from the side end of the recording medium loaded on the pressing plate. The feeding means starts to feed the recording medium while the restriction member restricts the position of the side end of the recording medium, and the moving means separates the restriction member from the side end of the recording medium after the carrying means starts to carry the recording medium.
