Abstract:
This snap button is provided with a female snap button body (11) and a socket ring (20, 60) incorporated in the female snap button body (11). The female snap button body (11) comprises a bottom (12) and a side wall (18) arising from the periphery of the bottom (12), and the side wall (18) has a holding part (14) for holding the socket ring (20, 60). The socket ring (20, 60) comprises a radially outer flange (21, 61) held by the holding part (14), and an engaging part (22, 62) positioned radially inward of the flange (21, 61). The engaging part (22, 62) extends beyond the flange (21, 61) toward the bottom (12) of the female snap body (11) in the axial direction of the socket ring (20, 60). The inner diameter of the socket ring (20, 60) may gradually increase from the axial midpoint of the engaging part (22, 62) towards one axial end and the other axial end of the engaging part (22, 62). A plurality of slits extending in the radial direction may be formed on the engaging part (22, 62) of the socket ring (20, 60) in the circumference direction.
