Abstract:
A female terminal (10) is configured to comprise: a rectangular cylinder section (14) open forward at the front end opening edge (140) thereof; a first base end section (24) protruding forward from a part of the front end opening edge (140) and folded backward; a first elastic section (23) extended into the rectangular cylinder section (14) from the rear end (240) of the first base end section (24); and a pair of protective walls (29) provided protruding forward from the portions of the front end opening edge (140), which surround the first base end section (24) from both sides. As a result of this configuration, the first base end section (24) can be protected by the pair of protective walls (29) when the female terminal (10) is accidentally dropped.
