Abstract:
This specification discloses a female terminal (10) adapted so that a male terminal (50) can be connected to the female terminal (10) from the front thereof. The female terminal (10) is configured so as to comprise: a bottom plate (15) which is long in the front-rear direction; a ceiling plate (16) which is provided facing the bottom plate (15); a pair of side plates (17) which vertically connects both side edges of the bottom plate (15) and both side edges of the ceiling plate (16); a stepped section (25) which is provided in a stepped shape at the front end of the bottom plate (17) so as to be raised from the bottom plate (15), and which is extended forward such that the stepped section (25) is located between the pair of side plates (17); and an elastic contact section (30) which is formed by being folded rearward at the front end of the stepped section (25), is provided in an elastically deformable manner, and allows the male terminal (50) to come into elastic contact with the elastic contact section (30) from the front.
