Abstract:
This ferrite powder can be detected by a metal detector, wherein the ferrite powder is characterized by including hard ferrite particles containing 7.8-9.0% by mass of Sr and 61.0-65.0% by mass of Fe, the Na content measured by ion chromatography being 1-200 ppm. The volume-average grain size of the constituent particles of the ferrite powder is preferably 0.1-100 μm. The residual magnetization by VSM measurement when a magnetic field of 10 K ∙ 1000/4 πA/m is applied is preferably from 25 A ∙ m2/kg to 40 A ∙ m2/kg.
