Abstract:

A ferrite sintered compact, which has a primary composition containing 63 to 80 mole % of Fe₂O₃, 3 to 15 mole % of ZnO and the balanced amount of manganese oxides, wherein R_cal- 2.0 ≤ R ≤ R_cal + 0.3 is satisfied where R_cal is determined by the formula (1): R_cal = [200(X - 50)]/(3X), where X is a content (mole %) of Fe₂O₃, and R (%) is a proportion of Fe²⁺ in the total amount of Fe in the sintered compact, and wherein the sintered compact has a density of 4.9 g/cm³ or more.
