Abstract:
Provided is a stainless steel foil suitable for a catalyst carrier for an automotive exhaust gas purifying facility which is mounted on automobiles in which the temperature of an exhaust gas is lower than in gasoline powered automobiles. The ferritic stainless steel foil is characterised by comprising, by mass%, C: 0.05% or less, Si: 2.0% or less, Mn: 1.0% or less, S: 0.005% or less, P: 0.05% or less, Cr: 11.0 to 25.0%, Ni: 0.05 to 0.30%, Al: 0.01 to 1.5%, Cu: 0.01 to 2.0%, N: 0.10% or less, and the remainder including Fe and inevitable impurities.
