Abstract:

Disclosed is a fiber for artificial hair, which is formed from a first thermoplastic polymer and a second thermoplastic polymer that is incompatible with the first thermoplastic polymer and has a melting point different from that of the first thermoplastic polymer, and provided with a recessed and projected pattern in the surface. The two kinds of thermoplastic resins form a fine sea-island structure in which the island portions are almost uniformly dispersed. Projections of the first thermoplastic polymer irregularly protrude from the surface, thereby providing the surface with recesses and projections.
