Abstract:
A fiber drawing furnace and a fiber drawing method. The fiber drawing furnace comprises a furnace body (1), a heat insulating body (2), a heating body (3), rotation driving means (4), and a heater (5); the heat insulating body (2) is provided in the furnace body (1) and wraps the heating body (3); the rotation driving means (4) is used for driving the heating body (3) to rotate; the heater (5) is provided at the periphery of the furnace body (1), and comprises a heating coil; during fiber drawing, a fiber preform passes through a hollow space inside the heating body (3) for drawing. According to the fiber drawing furnace, the volume of the furnace body is reduced so that the amount of introduced inert gas is reduced and energy consumption is reduced; moreover, a uniform and stable thermal field can be formed so that the stability of fiber production is improved.
