Abstract:
This fiber laser device (1) emits pulsed output light and is characterized in that a control unit (70): causes excitation light for amplification to be emitted from an excitation light source for amplification (30) when in a state in which excitation light for generating seed light is being emitted from an excitation light source for generating seed light (10) and a light switch (23) is in a transmission state; switches the light switch (23) from the transmission state to a non-transmission state when in a state in which the excitation light for amplification is being emitted from the excitation light source for amplification (30) as well as switches the light switch (23) back to the transmission state when seed light is emitted; and controls the non-transmission state period of the light switch (23) and the intensity of the excitation light for amplification emitted from the excitation light source for amplification (30).
