Abstract:
Technical Field: To produce a reinforced fiber sheet by opening mass fibers, the sheet functioning as a reinforcement material for a fiber-reinforced composite material. Technical Problem: A fiber opening apparatus that smoothly prepares an open fiber sheet from mass fibers of reinforced fibers. Solving Problem: An fiber opening portion (25) is provided with support members (254) arranged in a plane-like or arc-like form at predetermined intervals along a movement direction of a single fiber or mass fibers, and fibers are opened by fluid on the near side and far side of the support members (254). Thus fiber opening efficiency is improved. Principal Use: Aerospace, land transportation, ships, architecture, civil engineering, industrial parts, sporting goods, etc.
