Abstract:
The present invention provides a fiber production method suitable for suppressing outer diameter changes. The production method according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: discharging a softened linear body 1 from a nozzle 10; and winding the linear body 1 such that the linear body passes through a cooling part 20 to which a cooling fluid 50 is supplied, thereby obtaining a fiber 5. The cooling part 20 has a filter 40 for straightening flow of the cooling fluid 50. In the cooling part 20, the temperature of the cooling fluid 50 is substantially constant in a direction in which the linear body 1 is moved. In the production method according to the embodiment, an index M calculated by formula (I) is 1.52 or less.
