Abstract:
This fiber reinforced plastic molded body is constituted from a layered body (A) that is a planar structure body comprising a fiber reinforced resin, and a resin member (B) joined to a portion of the region or the entirety of the region from the outer peripheral side-surface portion and/or the outer peripheral edge portion of the layered body (A). The layered body (A) has a constitution comprising: a sandwich structure member (E) wherein a core layer (C) is sandwiched by, on each surface thereof, unidirectional fiber reinforced resin (D) constituted from a unidirectional continuous fiber and a matrix resin; and a textile fiber reinforced resin (F) constituted from a textile fiber and a matrix resin, layered on the surface of one of the fiber reinforced resins (D). When the layered body (A) is divided into equal halves in the thickness direction, Am1 is defined as the amount of the resin member (B) present in a region (R1) which is the side from the dividing center line whereon the textile fiber reinforced resin (F) is layered, and Am2 is defined as the amount of the resin member (B) present in a region (R2) which is the side whereon the textile fiber reinforced resin (F) is not layered, and Am2/Am1 falls in the range of 2 to 25. The invention enhances the external appearance of the fiber reinforced plastic molded body, and despite the asymmetric layered structure, suppresses the occurrence of warping in the molded body, allowing smoothness to be achieved, and also allowing thinning, strength increase, and rigidity increase to be achieved.
